Laney College welcomed its 2022 cohort of Ile Omode students; Cierra Jones, Lanai Mitchell, Morgan Smith, KaiNu Moore, Kaiden Gibbs, & Naasir Griffith. The graduating 8th graders earned excellent marks at Laney College this semester — completing three courses with every student earning an “A”.
Every Ile Omode student has earned an ‘A’ at Laney College, and as expected this 8th-grade class has followed in that tradition; Ile Omode strives to make sure each student can succeed at this level and beyond.
Of the students who have participated in Laney College, 87% have taken Honors Algebra 2/Trigonometry in their 9th-grade year and 86% have completed Advanced Placement Calculus by 12th grade. Ile Omode expects nothing less from the class of 2022 as they transition into high school this coming fall.
