While attending SFSU, she worked as an assistant director to an after school program in San Francisco. This position helped her to realize her passion for quality education and opened doors for her to work as a tutor, reading coach, and substitute teacher in various schools throughout Oakland and San Francisco.
In 2012, she began a master’s degree program at the University of San Francisco and earned her master’s degree in teaching in 2014.
In 2013, Rachael came into the Ile Omode community as a student teacher, working on her degree. In 2014, she became the lead kindergarten teacher at Ile Omode. She works as the curriculum specialist for the kindergarten and first grade. She is a mother of two and her oldest son is a proud Ile Omode preschooler.
Rachael loves traveling, visiting beaches and spending time with loved ones and family.
