Senay Alkebu-lan, c’11, is the owner of the brand Madow Futur. Madow Futur is a Black-owned & Oakland-based streetwear brand, existing to empower the vanguard of tomorrow's revolution. Senay states that 2022, “began with my return from Dakar, Senegal where I participated in a Pan African mural festival and worked on a project dedicated to Black Panther Party illustrator, Emory Douglas. I spent the bulk of the year working at my studio in West Oakland doing research & development for my brand - Madow Futur. My small team and I created around 50 experimental garments throughout the year; some of which, I was able to show during New York Fashion Week in September 2022. I’m currently working on a modular workwear collection that will act as my culmination project for my BFA program at CCA when I graduate this coming spring ‘23”. Check out his brand here: Madow Futur
